What’s ahead for Kardia Lumina? What can you get excited for? What can you look forward to for keeping your spirit vibrant and your heart luminously alive? See what we’ve got coming up!
First up, we’ve got Seducing the Tarot: Learning to Speak the Language of Spirit.
This course is designed to help you develop a relationship with each of the 22 Major Arcana. It can feel overwhelming to try and memorize the meanings of each of these powerful symbols. However, once you’re connected to how the Empress, the Tower, or Death show up within you, you’ll be able to read them in a spread with ease. Using ancient and mystical spiritual frameworks, as well as the Hero's Journey, you'll learn how to map the Tarot onto your life and develop an intimate working relationship with its vital symbolism.
We’ll be using the classic Rider-Waite, Osho Tarot, and Animal Totem Tarot decks. You’re also invited to bring your own deck so we can compare how Temperance, the Magician, the Star and all other Major Arcana show up in various forms. Each week we'll have a different guest Tarot artist from the Denver/Boulder community.
This workshop will be four weekly evening workshops and each student will receive a tarot reading from Rev. Cindy Pincus as well as other student practitioners during the month of the course. We’re busy securing our perfect location for the workshops and have our eye on a few beautiful art galleries, churches, and apothecaries around Denver. Price will likely be between $100-$150 for the whole course depending on location and food. Women* of Color receive a 25% discount due to the disparity of the reported 2018 Gender/Race wage gap.
Next, we’ll be working with Calling in the Magdalena: Sacred Witness of Transformation.
The Magdalena (Mary Magdalene) is commonly known as the prostitute redeemed by Christ because of her repentance. But the truth is far more powerful. She is the sacred witness and other half to Jesus’ earthly ministry, and the one whose ‘seeing’ transformed the everyday into the miraculous, the one without whom Jesus’ ministry would not have been possible. Through working with a Magdalena Icon, constructing Mirror Altars, and writing prayers to call Her in, we will invite this Sacred Witness deep into our lives so that we ourselves may be transformed and walk with new light through the world.
This will be an in-depth 2-3 day immersive course with ceremony, ritual, and spiritual practice. We’re busy securing our perfect location for the workshops and have our eye on a few beautiful art galleries, churches, and apothecaries around Denver. Each student will receive a Magdalena Mirror and Icon of the Magdalena to begin working with on your own altar. Price will likely be $400-$500 depending on location and food. Women* of Color receive a 25% discount due to the disparity of the reported 2018 Gender/Race wage gap.
Finally, we’ll be offering a teaching and workshop on Death and Altered State Journeys: Practicing your Death for a Better Life.
As documented by Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and observed by Rev. Cindy in her Hospice work, the processes of death and dying are closely mimicked by ego-death and spiritual encounters people have during altered state journeys. These processes include re-encountering childhood spiritual wounds, surrendering to forgiveness, encountering pressure in the metaphorical birth/death canal, and connecting with Spirit or Universal Compassion, among many others. By incorporating these dying practices into our altered-state journeys, we can learn to live well now and die better later. This workshop will also cover different tools to put in your belt like calling on your spiritual helpers, using aromatherapy, carrying sacred healing objects, and breathing practices.
This will be a Saturday morning workshop, offered twice, with breakfast and coffee. We’re busy securing our perfect location for the workshops and have our eye on a few beautiful art galleries, churches, and apothecaries around Denver. Price will likely be $75-$100 depending on location and food. Women* of Color receive a 25% discount due to the disparity of the reported 2018 Gender/Race wage gap.
